On March 11th, 2011, an earthquake of unprecedented magnitude and tsunami struck northeastern Japan, and have deprived thousands of lives of families, friends and communities in the area. Although more than a year has past since the destruction, many people are still suffering post-disaster hardship. The JCN is striving to support those who have been affected by the disaster, and believes it is crucial that affected local organizations and their partners work closely to maximise their capacity and effectiveness.
